Palm Beach
Sailing Club
Palm Beach's Home Port
Founded in 1966, Palm Beach Sailing Club is the only private sailing club in the area. We're a club built on fellowship among sailors—racing, learning, and gathering together. From Sunday regattas to weeknight socials, PBSC is where the sailing community comes to compete, connect, and belong.
What started in 1966 as a club for local sailors is now Palm Beach's home for racing, learning, and gathering on the water. Sixty years in, we're just getting started.
Learn to Sail.
Learn to Race, Race.
Our members span first-time sailors to lifelong racers, young families to empty nesters. What they share: a passion for the water, a commitment to the craft, and a calendar that keeps them connected. This is a community that sails together—and grows together.
While limited introductory experiences are available for prospective members, our programs are member-focused.

Adult Sailing
Learn MOreWhether you’re brand new or returning to the sport, PBSC offers adult classes led by certified instructors to build confidence and skill at any level. Prefer a more relaxed pace? Join us for casual sails, friendly races, or just good company on the water.

Youth Sailing
Learn MOrePBSC’s Youth Sailing program helps kids build confidence, independence, and a love for the water. From beginners to advanced racers, young sailors progress through fun, hands-on instruction, regattas, and team activities—all in a safe, supportive environment.

The Club Life
Learn MOreFrom themed dinners to holiday celebrations, PBSC’s social calendar brings members together beyond the water. Whether you’re here for the sailing or the stories shared after sunset, our events create a warm, welcoming space for connection, tradition, and fun.

Membership
Learn MOreMembership at PBSC means joining a community of sailors—whether you bring your own boat or sail from our fleet. It's experienced sailors who become mentors and friends, and a calendar that keeps people connected.
FAQs
Exploring what membership at PBSC offers? Here are answers to common questions about our club, community, and the path to joining. We're always happy to discuss membership in greater detail—reach out anytime.
Not at all. Our members range from seasoned racers to people who've never stepped on a boat. What matters more is enthusiasm for the sport and a genuine interest in being part of a close-knit sailing community. We offer informal learning opportunities and our members are generous with their knowledge—but we're looking for people who want to actively participate, not just spectate.
Prospective members typically start by attending a guest sail or club event to get a feel for who we are. From there, you'll submit a brief application. We review applications periodically and follow up personally with candidates who seem like a strong fit. The process is straightforward, but intentional—we want to make sure PBSC is the right community for you, and vice versa.
Membership availability fluctuates throughout the year. We encourage interested sailors to begin the application process early, as we occasionally limit new memberships to maintain the quality of the member experience. Submitting an application doesn't obligate you—it simply puts you on our radar when openings arise.
Our most engaged members share a few things in common: they're curious, they show up, and they enjoy contributing to something beyond themselves. Whether that means crewing on race nights, mentoring a newer sailor, or just being a regular presence at the dock—PBSC rewards participation. If you're looking for a membership card to hang on the wall, we're probably not the right fit.
Absolutely—we encourage it. Contact our front desk to learn about any upcoming open houses. These events give you a chance to meet current members, see the facility, and experience what a typical day at the club feels like. It's also an opportunity for us to get to know you.
From Our Community
For nearly 60 years, sailors have found more than a club here—they've found their people. These are the stories of members who discovered that the best part of PBSC isn't just the sailing, it's who you sail with
Great friendly place to learn how to Sail and have fun! Meet new friends with lots of social fun! 3 nights a week Chef cooking up specials and nice menu all to enjoy. I highly recommend this club if you want to learn how to ⛵️ Sail.
Loved it here! Coach Robin is the best, very informative and patient, made the entire experience so fun! If you’re ever looking into learning how to sail, he is the one to go to! Will be back again!!
I was a little nervous starting as I am scared of water, but coach Robin assured me I’d be fine and I eventually got the hang of it! He was very patient and I didn’t feel rushed or pressured at all, would recommend any beginners or veterans to ask for him😃
I'm a new sailor and I think I’ve found my home base. Great access, good little fleet of boats, very friendly and welcoming members. Looking forward to an awesome future in sailing while using PBSC as my launch pad. Cheers!
Great camp, can’t wait until my son is old enough to do the full day. Kids were kept very active all day and learned a lot. The counselors were also very good with my son.
We participated in the visiting yachtsman program at PBSC last winter and will do so again this year. What a wonderful place. The resources they offer through that program for cruisers like us are so helpful, and it provided us an opportunity to very quickly make friends in a new community. The staff are so accomodating, and thoughtfully bring you into the family. I highly recommend this clean, friendly, and active club to all sailors.
